Entering into a contest is always a nerve-wracking experience.
The submission process, watching your book compete with others, watching the votes come in, wondering if you’ll make to the top… It’s an experience every creator, especially authors come across in their lifetime.
I felt that experience myself last week when I submitted by book Unbearable in a contest hosted by eBookFairs.com. I entered into the “New releases or first books” contest managed by Desiree Craig. All of the books submitted into the fair seemed very interesting and lovely, but I was still anxious to see if my heartwarming book depicting the unlikely friendship between a boy and a bear would make it into the finals.
Now, I’m happy to say I’ve won!
Those following me on TikTok have likely seen my posts about the win and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who voted for me in the fair! Without your help, I wouldn’t have made it here.
